MARKETING BEFORE THE EVENT
A. Put up POSTERS in various places in your community
• Your church
• Other churches in your community, including other denominations
• Christian bookstores
• Schools
• Local businesses
B. Make ANNOUNCEMENTS in your worship services and in your bulletin several weeks prior to the event. Send the announcement to other churches in your area.
C. Make copies and include BULLETIN INSERTS in the bulletin several weeks prior to the event. Also share the inserts with other churches in your area.
D. Send a PRESS RELEASE to your local media - Newspapers (calendar listings, religion section) - Radio stations (public service announcement) - College papers
THE EVENT
E. Have the sound equipment and tables for CD sales set up and the church open for guests at least one hour before the concert ·
F. Set the mood with a WELCOME and ARTIST INTRODUCTION
G. At the close of the concert, give a BENEDICTION and PRAYER, and announce that CDs and cassettes are available for sale (include the location), or that order forms are available.
